Conceptual Cereal Bakuli Rethinks The Cereal Box Design For A Necessary Packaging Refresh

While Elisa Egea's packaging design for Bakuli is conceptual, we hope every cereal brand takes inspiration from her design. As cereal boxes are presented on grocery shelves from the front and often stored in pantries on our homes from the side, creating a beautiful visual side panel is ingenious. No longer do pantries have to be cluttered; they can be gorgeously colorful patterns. Rethinking the classical cereal box design isn't an easy task as it's been almost the same for decades, but Elisa's design proves that sometimes an update is refreshingly neccesary.

A couple of days ago I showed you the development of the Bakuli brand identity. In addition to the identity, I designed the packaging for the cereal boxes. We have boxes of teff, rye and oat flakes, as well as a special edition with all three versions and a commemorative bowl. I loved this project, I think it was a different approach than what is usually done for healthy products and all three versions worked very well together.
