Sundae School Mochi Edibles Fully Embraced Polka Dots

Cannabis brand Sundae School launched its edible line in early 2021, and the packaging system designed by Sunny Tianqing Li is inspired by childhood memories from Asian candies. Through bright colors, polka dots, and sweet illustrations, create a packaging system that's whimsical yet refined through a well-balanced execution—additionally, sans-serif and serif typography styles used on the packaging work exceptionally well together. Despite being inspired by Asian candies, the edibles packaging feels thoughtful.
Sundae School is a craft cannabis brand and a smokewear label. Launched in early 2021, Sundae School's edible line comes with three unique flavors—Sour Yuzu, Lychee Dragon, Milktea Sundae in a mochi-like texture—when the Asian identity of the brand is "highly" celebrated. Inspired by our childhood memories of Asian candies, the packaging design intends to represent the mouthwatering experience by using approachable patterns and dynamic color palettes.
