It’s almost October, and it seemingly only took 20 years to get here. Who would have thought? Not me!
But with the leaves just starting to change color and beginning their gingerly descent into the Earth while the country continues to burn itself into the ground amid a blossoming electoral crisis, it’s time to get ready for the annual rituals of autumn.
Specifically, a little Hocus Pocus.
Now, you can enjoy the post-Down and Out in Beverly Hills Bette Midler, pre-Sex and the City Sarah Jessica Parker, and forever eternal-Sister Act Kathy Najimy starring classic Disney Halloween movie with their very own canned wine. The witchy collaboration between Eliqs Beverage & Design Shop and Besa mi Vino features two varieties, a white wine and a rosé. Proceeds from the sales will benefit the New York Restoration Project, a non-profit founded by Bette Midler that restores parks throughout the five boroughs.
The two canned wines each present a different design. The Hocus Pocus x Eliqs Rosé features a blood-dripped design with each of the Sanderson sisters appearing on their own can while the Hocus Pocus x Besa x Eliqs White Wine casts a silhouette of the gruesome three in front of a full moon with a darkened blue background. Of course, you might not be able to create a witchy atmosphere in your house with your pals this year for your annual viewing because of COVID, but maybe you can watch it on the lawn as the cans are perfect for an outdoor screening with a picnic.
Now, if only we could get a Worst Witch whiskey before the apocalypse really happens.
