Bright And Eco-conscious: Facialworks Skincare

by Shawn Binder on 09/02/2020 | 3 Minute Read

Celebrate clean skin with these bottle designs for Facialworks. These glass bottles use minimal lines and shapes to create a system that doesn't overcrowd or distract from the pure ingredients contained within the products. Bubbles, brush-strokes, and dots create a system that reminds consumers of the ocean, and of the clean and natural skincare routine they're about to take part in. The light colors are bright and inviting, allowing you to trust Facialworks as a brand that cares not only about your skin, but the environment.

Facialworks is the original facial bar of Orange County, featuring sea-to-skin, nontoxic skincare and a fun facial experience for every skin type. The CleanSea skincare line was designed for the modern individual who strives to care for their skin with only the best natural ingredients.

From cleansers to serums, the products are packed with amazing ingredients and no harmful fillers or preservatives. The packaging aims to cut back on single-use plastic waste with refillable glass packaging.

Design Womb partnered with the skincare brand to redesign and launch their newly formulated beauty skincare product line. Alongside a new brand voice and tagline "We Love Your Face," we designed a complete brand identity and logo that preforms in the CPG space as well as in the facial bar retail environments. Facialworks proudly operates four locations around Southern California in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Dana Point, and Irvine.

The brand identity visuals and packaging design material choices celebrate clean ingredients and a quintessential SoCal beachy lifestyle. Bottles and boxes showcase abstract patterns that were designed using watercolors, salts, and paint. A color palette of cool blues and seafoam green pairs with sun kissed copper and gold foil. Selective clear glossy varnishes on soft touch substrates and boxes sit next to clear, white and frosted bottles. The result is sophisticated, beachy, and a little clinical.
