Luxury Meets Tradition: Metzkalcoatl Mezcal Brand

Published

When creating a luxury spirit, it’s important to infuse knowledge of the spirits origins within the design. The design for Metzkalcoatl Mezcal Brand blends Mexican mythology in a way that’s sleek and modern. The font and illustrations depict ancient knowledge, passed on from generation-to-generation, while the gold embellishments throughout the bottle hint that this is a modern spirit best enjoyed over ice on a hot summer’s night. The  duality you’ll feel after having this mezcal is the battle of good & evil when it comes to if you should pour another glass.

Metzkalcoatl Mezcal Brand was inspired by the Mexican mythology of Quetzalcoatl with four arms descending from the Kukulkán pyramid at Chichén Itzá, an icon that represents the duality between good and evil, as well as light and shadows. The design for this spirit represents a deep Mezcal “made of one piece”to  reminds us of the stories told in towns. Through this design, legends about Quetzalcoatl duality brought by the sky live on.
