Student Week: D'aucy Peas

Want to abolish the mediocrity of canned vegetables?
Design student Pierre-Antoine Cossard's unique double-label uses the shape and color of peas for an entirely new can. The concept utilizes three colors and a minimalist typeface that allows the product to stake its claim in the canned goods space. This is a can design that will immediately stand out on a shelf and be memorable for consumers, as well as change the way we think of single-label cans.
"The exercise was to rethink the label’s can. Whereas today all cans work with one label, I thought about the different possibilities that this surface allowed.
By adding a second label, the idea was to give the packaging a new look and encourage consumers to choose D'aucy."
