Student Week: 7th Gen Laundry Care

Published

The laundry industry is inherently wasteful with liquid detergents containing 60 to 90% water, while 900 million jugs are discarded annually. This new line of laundry products from Seventh Generation works to eliminate these issues through plastic free, refillable packaging.

Focusing on a fresh idea, the product packaged becomes laundry in pill form. 100% plant based and adaptable for any machine the product is minimally wasteful. It is then packaged in a glass bottle with a sulapac lid. The sulapac material is a renewable, compostable material that complements the recyclability of the glass. Other items in the line include a laundry stain stick and an oxygen booster in tablet form (packaged fully in sulapac).

Available refills are packaged in paperboard so that they may be recycled or composted. Overall the new brand direction focuses on less ingredients and less waste so that Seventh Generation can offer light sustainable eco friendly laundry solutions for your clothes as you need them.
