The design concept for Tint mints uses eco-friendly match-boxes and geometric shapes to create an innovative and visually exciting mint line. We love the way Tint Mints uses an analog font and describes tint flavors as HEX codes. The information laid out on the box is both visually interesting and informative, and the line system and way visual elements work together as if they’re creating a graphic design system works well in Tint Mint’s favor. We’d be proud to pass a box of Tint Mints around to our friends after a great catch-up lunch.
This project is a design concept for ‘Tint Mints.’ The product is a series of healthy mints in sustainable, recycled matchbox packaging, doing away with plastic and focusing on the material qualities of the mint packaging as an aesthetic accessory. The attached images are mockups that reflect the desired look of the packaging, as well as extended branding materials such as paper bags, juice bottles and iPhone cases.
Just as the mints are intended to add flavour to the customerâs day, the packaging serves as a graphic accessory, playing off the strong flavours and colour associations of the mints to deliver bright, graphic shapes and an old-school charm reminiscent of vintage matchboxes and ticket stub ephemera. This graphic system was also designed to be expanded upon and extrapolated across different media to form a distinct visual language for branding and different assets (transcending the pure representation of flavours whilst still maintaining relevance to the product).
