Alea Aacta Est Takes It’s Cues From Dice

This olive oil bottle is a visual delight. Taking it’s cues from dice (obviously) the bottle doesn’t crowd the rest of it’s design with unnecessary wording. By utilizing the white space a pair of dice would naturally have, the design avoids being bloated & makes for an interesting conversation starter at your next dinner party.

Naming, branding and packaging for Conrado Gajate, Extra Virgin Olive Oil producer from Lumbrales, Salamanca, Spain. This olive oil is called ALEA IACTA EST ( the die is cast) due to a Roman ruins site discovered a few kilometres from the olive grove, where some games of chance and coins from Ancient Rome were found. For the packaging we painted and screenprinted the bottle to achieve a dice shape, since the correct translation would be “ the dice was cast”. The result is a unique packaging, which is both chic as well as stunning at the same time.
