Snack Bar Company This Saves Lives Expands Product Line And Charity Efforts

Founded by celebrities Kristen Bell, Ryan Devlin, Todd Grinnell, and Ravi Patel back in 2013, snack bar line This Saves Lives started by making treats that are GMO-free, nut-free, as well as having zero out of eight of the top allergens. From the onset, for every purchase, the brand has donated life-saving food to a child in need, working with the US and international NGOs to fight child malnutrition.

The snack makers have recently announced an expansion of their bar line and the introduction of new rice krispie treats. In addition to the latest products, This Saves Lives has also stated that it will support families made food insecure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The kid bars come wrapped in playfully illustrated packaging that appeals to children. Popular motifs such as dinosaurs, rocket ships, and dancing animals dominate visually, while ingredients play second fiddle to the pink elephants, smiling bees, and guitar-playing bears. All kids’ bars are “school-safe” and contain a full serving of fruits and vegetables. The Krispy Kritter packaging is similarly packaged and also features playful and mythical creatures such as a smiling Bigfoot, unicorns, and dragons.

“Right now, it’s more important than ever to think of others and what we can each do to help our communities here and abroad," said actor and This Saves Lives co-founder Kristen Bell in a press release. "We may not be able to physically sit at the same table, but I firmly believe we can all still eat together."

“We created This Saves Lives to fight early childhood malnutrition, and I’m radically hopeful that we can continue to inspire action and save children’s lives," she added. "We’ve been working on our Kids Krispy Kritter Treats and new Kids and Classic Bars for some time, but it makes me feel good to launch them now, knowing they might help bring a little joy to families knowing they are sending life-saving food to children in need.”

This Saves Lives is widely available at grocers such as Whole Foods, outlets such as Starbucks, and directly from their website.
