However, unlike most apparel sold online, Bscly ships their products in compostable or recyclable material.
At the center of their sustainable packaging is a 100% home compostable box made from sugarcane fiber. In addition to its compostability, sugarcane grows faster than trees, it can be harvested annually, absorbs CO2 from the atmosphere, and returns some nutrients into the soil it is grown on. The molded fiber box has little embellishment and sports a debossed wordmark.
According to co-founder and head of design Holga Balina, the rest of the packaging materials are either compostable or recyclable. The tissue paper used inside the box is acid-free, FSC-certified, and printed with soy inks, as are the paper stickers. Both are recyclable, in addition to the Tyvek tape. The outer mailer bag is also home compostable and comes 100% from corn.
The clothing and everyday essentials brand identity is as uncomplicated as their mission to provide to fuss-free clothing. It is understated, with little flair, and still manages to have a boldness that stands out with little effort.
In doing so, Bscly lets the organic beauty of its packaging shine. The brand does more with less, including plastic, which is a total bonus.
