LQD Will Have You Sipping On Hard Green Tea As Summer Fast Approaches

Although everyone’s sense of time may be temporarily askew, summer and warmer weather is quickly approaching, for those in the northern hemisphere at least, and balmy days call for sitting back with a refreshing, fruit-flavored drink while the sun softly fades below the horizon.

Ready-to-drink cocktails are handy but usually full of sugar and artificial flavors. Anheuser-Busch Brewer’s Collective, the craft division of the A-B, is looking to change that with a new range of hard lemonade and green teas made with natural ingredients and no added sugar called LQD.

The hard green teas and lemon-to-lime-ish-ades specifically target the health-conscientious consumer. The beverages came out back in 2018, and the line actually sported hard coconut water. No word on whether the boozy coconut flavor will make a return, but the brand has undergone a complete refresh in just two short years.

LQD’s range includes a hard agave limeade, hibiscus lemonade, passionfruit green tea, and peach green tea. The cans’ labels put the ingredients front and center, emphasizing the natural flavors through exquisite illustrations, the light backgrounds, and the subdued type play a supporting role in the design. The sliced fruit and tea leaves start quenching thirst visually before you have even gorged yourself on the first sip.

The new range of sparkling hard beverages fills a gap between White Claw and their competitors, malt-based cocktails, and hard ciders with a more refined visual identity and about 200 calories. LQD is available across the US in both 6 and 12 packs.
