Would anyone like a side of tradition with their morning coffee? Cafe La Nacional unveils a gorgeous, brand identity that utilizes an old Mexican coat of arms to showcase a high-end coffee brand that pays attention to the past. The type-forward coffee cups utilize a san serif font that leaves a consumer have a distinct historic feel, all while showcasing Cafe La Nacional as a trendy way to start your day.

We were tasked with rebranding Cafe La Nacional. It was imperative that it retained the traditional angle that’s crucial to the brand since it homages it’s Mexican roots.

"We reimagined an old Mexican coat of arms, adding coffee related motifs like the Coffee genus that surrounds the eagle and an ancient 1770 like roaster broiling coffee beneath it. A more contemporary feel is created when the logo is juxtaposed to the chosen typefaces. This levels the overall sense of the composition. Also, to help differentiate each coffee’s regional origin, we added different colored metallic stickers to the packaging, that at the same time adds a disruptive accent to the design."
