Lady Gaga And Oreo Announce 'Chromatica' Limited-Edition Cookies

by Rudy Sanchez on 12/02/2020 | 2 Minute Read

Despite a seven-week delay, recording artist and occasional wearer of meat, Lady Gaga, finally released her sixth studio album Chromatica. However, the same circumstances that delayed her latest banger have also denied her little monsters from listening to it performed live or dancing with reckless abandon in the club.

You'll have to wait until at least next summer for Gaga to wow fans with a stadium-level spectacle in support of the record, but in the meantime, Oreo has them covered with a new cookie inspired by Mother Monster.

The packaging is bright pink and comes with a bold "LADY GAGA" in a shiny mirror finish splashed across the front. Copy reads, "This is a cookie inspired by Chromatica," with the album title stylized. Minimal Oreo branding appears on the top, and inside, the cookies are pink-colored and stamped with imagery from Gaga’s latest work. The inner filling, though green in color, tastes like the original creme flavored, at least we hope.

"This collab is inspired by the world of Chromatica, where kindness rules all things," said Lady Gaga in an announcement about the colorful cookies. "I love these pink cookies with green creme, and hope they brighten your day as much as they do mine!”

The brand told Adweek that the cookies would launch officially in 2021, with 6-cookie packs appearing in convenience stores in January. Fans were directed to LadyGagaOreoStanClub.com to receive updates and details, with the first 1,000 getting in front of the line for the new cookies. In the meantime, starting December 15th, the collaboration launches Sing it with Oreo, which will allow fans to share musical greetings with friends.
