For the past 11 years, Dieline Awards has formally recognized the absolute best in packaging design worldwide, bringing awareness to the immense value that lies in well-designed brand packaging.

For 2021, Dieline Awards has reimagined the competition by more than doubling the categories from 29 to 63 to better represent and recognize significant advancements within our industry, particularly when it comes to sustainability.

It is our goal to recognize the innovation and efforts of designers and branding for creating the solutions of tomorrow, today. The expanded categories allow more entrants the opportunity to have their work recognized on a global level.

In 2019, Dieline partnered with A Plastic Planet to launch the world’s first Plastic Free Award for sustainable, plastic-free packaging. This year promises even more ingenuity as we continue to celebrate material innovation.

For the 2021 competition, Dieline Awards has also partnered with Adobe to create six distinct categories dedicated to sustainable package design. Together, Adobe and Dieline believe in the power of design to revolutionize our world.

Additionally, Dieline is proud to announce the addition of a new category—the Design For Good Award. Entry is open to any packaging consumer products designed for doing a good that emphasizes positivity, kindness, and giving back with an overall mission of lifting up humankind.

Dieline Awards is one of the largest design competitions of its kind, and it continues to evolve and shape the design community, highlighting the impactful trends we love to pay homage to. Brand owners, consumers, marketers, agencies, in-house creatives, students, and enthusiasts around the world turn to Dieline Awards as the industry-wide benchmark of impeccably-designed packaging for consumer products.

Over the past year, we’ve seen so much powerful work dedicated to so many vital causes—from breweries and distilleries making hand sanitizer to brands taking up social justice causes. So, starting this year, we’re going to formally honor those creatives with Dieline’s first-ever Design For Good Award.

This category is open to any packaging consumer products designed for doing a good that emphasizes positivity, kindness, and giving back. Best of all, entry is free to anyone that wants to enter, so long as the project fosters accessibility to a higher quality of life. That can be initiatives by non-profit organizations or even designing for a charitable cause. So long as your project gives back and lifts up humankind—and sports some beautiful, knock-out design—your project will be considered. Not only that, but the award will be judged by some of the best and brightest from the world of design and branding.

Have you created a piece of package design, or consumer brand campaign for the people with a critical message? Have you produced packaging work firmly focused on the greater social good?Has your brand risen to the occasion in 2020 with a campaign, or special project? You can’t put a price on such work—so this exclusive category is free to enter.

This category requires no fee to enter & has no limit to the amount of entries.
