SodaStream And bubly Announce PepsiCo Crossover

by Rudy Sanchez on 10/12/2020 | 1 Minute Read

Since being acquired by PepsiCo in 2018, DIY at-home fizzy drink brand SodaStream has had limited collaborations with sister beverage brands. There was a line of SodaStream concentrates, which included Miranda, Pepsi, and 7-Up, but it has only rolled out in select European countries

SodaStream, however, announced another team-up with a fellow brand in the portfolio, sparkling water brand bubly, which also became part of the PepsiCo family in 2018. The partnership will see some of bubly’s more popular unsweetened and calorie-free flavors join the Sodastream range of concentrates available.

bubly drops will come in 6 flavors—grapefruit, blackberry, lime, strawberry, mango, and cherry, and will be available in January 2021. For those that can’t wait until next year, a limited-edition Maker Kit, which includes a white SodaStream device and the range of bubly drops, will launch November 1st in select retailers and directly from SodaStream’s website.

Based on the press release, the bottle labels follow bubly’s fun and bright brand personality with a touch of SodaStream co-branding. Each bottle sports a different color and smile, in line with bubly’s core branding.

The partnership makes bubly sparkling water nearly package-free, save for the bottles of flavor drops, differentiating it from competitors such as LaCroix. Both brands are playful, and the sustainability combined with the healthier-for-you combination has the potential to be a hit beverage collab.
