Dry January Got You Down? There's A Beer For That

For some of us, Dry January is an exercise in epic failure. That's why it's refreshing to see a beer targeted at those of us who are just shooting for a moist January. Or perhaps a moister than moist January.

Also, if you happen to be one of those people who hate the word moist, all apologies.

Thankfully, Baltimore's Heavy Seas Brewery is set to release its latest hazy IPA, Dry January. This juice bomb of an IPA was brewed with acai and pomegranate, sort of like one of those healthy morning bowls you should be eating every day, but with beer.

Also, it has a 10% ABV.

Heavy Seas turned to full-service brand development agency Nightshift Creative and local artist Chris Gipple for the can's label artwork with some serious psych-rock head vibes, and despite the devil and angel on the monster's shoulder, he is 100% following his third eye because a higher consciousness always means beer.

Nightshift is the same team that worked on the Heavy Seas' 24 Anniversary Beer, and Gipple will also create a new label every month for the brewery's ongoing series of taproom exclusive beers throughout 2020.

Dry January will be available at the Heavy Seas' taproom on January 17th.
