Pepsi Celebrates Patriots 6th Super Bowl Win With Limited Edition Can

After decades of wallowing in football futility, in 2000, the New England Patriots made two hires that would represent a dynastic era for the franchise; coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady.

Since then, the team has won 16 division titles, have appeared in the AFC championship eight consecutive years, and have won the Super Bowl six times. Their undeniable success makes them a lightning rod of disdain and contempt for NFL fans not located in the vicinity of New England, but what can you do? Brady gonna Brady, and probably rock a Thanos glove for the upcoming season.

Despite all the hate, loyal Pats fans remain unfazed, and in celebration of the teams’ success, Pepsi is releasing a very limited-edition can.

The blue cans sport the team’s logo, and it comes decorated with “6X,” representing the number of Super Bowl victories for the New England franchise, in case you haven’t forgotten already, as you’ve likely received numerous reminders from the loyal Pats fan in the cubicle next to you. The textured cans also feature a set of white laces printed along the back of the can (similar to the limited-edition packaging released for last year’s Super Bowl), which comes in a special box as well.

The can will debut at an event to be held at Gillette Stadium today, which includes special appearances by Patriots Free Safety Devin McCourty and a performance by country musician Chris Lane.

Pats’ Pepsi is only available to the first 50 folks in line, which will surely leave a large number of fans deflated.
