Marshalls Launching ‘Surprise Boxes’ This Friday

Published

If you’ve ever had that trendy friend who didn’t get their fashions courtesy of a trust fund, chances were they had learned to comb the racks of Marshall’s for the greatest steals.

Founded in 1956 in Beverly, Massachusetts, Marshall’s has become a beacon of hope for Instagram girls to “go on an adventure” and then wander the candle aisle for an afternoon, or people who want name-brand items off-season for a fraction of the cost.

This Friday, Marshall’s is leaning into the idea that, when you go to their stores, you have to sift through a lot of crap to find the good stuff. The retail giant is rolling out a “surprise box,” which is adorable considering you never know what you’re going to find when you roll into one of their 1,000 stores across America.

So grab your fashion-forward friends and head to the retailer because hidden in every store will be one of these surprise boxes. The simple but effective royal blue box, which features a question mark adorned with a heart says “Hey! I’m the Marshalls surprise box,” giving recipients the feeling that Marshalls is their best friend providing them a gift for the hell of it and less a marketing ploy.

According to Marshalls, each box will contain major surprises in categories including fashion, beauty, accessories, home decor, tech, and more. No two stores will have the same package, so we’re interested to see how the prizes vary. It’s an adorable idea that brings a very viral marketing campaign into a real-life experience.

At a retailer where every experience in the store is a treasure hunt for the best deals, let the games begin.
