Bud Light’s New Can Comes In Peace, Is a Nod To ‘Storm Area 51’

Published

In what started as an internet joke, the “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us” Facebook event’s awareness has reached the point where the US military saw fit to issue a statement, warning people that if they attempted to access military areas illegally, it would be dangerous. It’s also indicative of the enduring permanence of our desire to have company in the cosmos, and Bud Light is the latest example of a brand getting in on the Area 51 viral fad.

Most people, however, including the creator the “Storm Area 51” event, aren’t necessarily believers of the eerie happenings around America’s personal Bermuda Triangle, nonetheless, it’s a source of levity and internet memes, and beer maker Bud Light has joined in the fun, creating new packaging inspired by Area 51.
