50 million barrels of oil are used to pump, process & refrigerate single-use bottled water every year. A million plastic bottles are bought around the world every minute. In the UK alone, we use 38.5m plastic bottles every day – only just over half make it to recycling. Whilst more than 16m are put into landfills, burnt or leak into the environment & oceans. Plastic production is set to double in the next 20 years and quadruple by 2050, so the time to act is now.
Stay Sixty believe that in order to change perceptions about disposable fashion and accessories we need to produce products that are functional, durable and desirable – as well as sustainable. Two Create share this belief, understanding that to make a real impact, we need to change the way people think about the products they buy. We believe that by creating timeless, durable and sustainable products we can help recalibrate a culture of disposable consumption.
Stay Sixty was established in 2016 with a mission to help rid the planet of single-use plastic bottles. Two Create Studio helped establish the brand and design a truly sustainable bottle with a unique removable base to keep bacteria at bay. The design went on to win a green design award and gain a cult following. The Stay Sixty founders returned to Two Create in 2017 with an even bigger challenge. They felt that in order for a reusable bottle to become fully integrated with your lifestyle it needed to fulfill even more criteria. It not only needed to be sustainable, but it needed to sit as comfortably on a desk as in the gym, allow you to sip a piping hot drink as well as allowing you to open it with one hand and sip whilst running. It needed to be super easy to carry, not slip on any surface and it needed to be one of the best-insulated bottles on the market.
After 2 years of development and with 3 global patents pending, Two Create have designed a new class of bottle; with triple-layered copper core vacuumed insulation and an intuitive TwistCTRL™ cap designed for sipping and ideal liquid flow that allows you to drink with a single turn as well as disassemble easily for effortless cleaning and recycling. There’s also an easy carry exchangeable lanyard, non-slip base and the much loved rubberized paint finish in four shades which will fit into any lifestyle.
