Yora Supplies A Different Type of Kibble For Your Dog

England-based design agency Junction Studio has crafted a beautiful design for Yora's insect-based dog food. Not only is this food incredibly nutritious for the ole doggo, it's also an eye-catching and sleek design for the consumer.

We were in the enviable position of being both designer and client for this project, as it's the brainchild of Tom, our creative director.

Entomophagy is growing in popularity around the world as an ethical and sustainable source of nutrition, but it remains a niche and relatively untapped market in the pet industry.

The product is named Yora in honour of one of the last uncontacted Amazonian tribes - it's indigenous people like these who are most at risk of the West's insatiable appetite for meat.

Yora's packaging has to work hard to communicate the numerous benefits of feeding an insect-based diet to pets and to make those nutritious grubs look appealing to consumers.

The incredibly talented Yukai Du helped us to create a distinctive visual language through her illustrations and animations.
