Fargo Brewing Highlights Hard-To-Adopt Dogs On Beer Labels

Sometimes, finding a home for a dog can be challenging—even a temporary foster home. Rescue dogs will, at times, have behavioral issues that complicate placement, like not getting along with other pets. For most of these furballs, the right human is out there; they’re just harder to find.

One craft beer brewer wants to help make it easier to connect these pups with the right home with a limited can label featuring the adorable mugs of harder-to-adopt dogs.

North Dakota based Fargo Brewing is canning up a limited quantity of their signature Original Lager in new cans, which sport a similar design, but instead of a bright, colorful block, the labels feature the adorable mugs of some puppers needing a forever home.

The idea came from one of the 4 LUV of Dog Rescue volunteers, Jerad Ryan, who also works for Northern Plains Label, a beer label maker.

“I approached my boss about donating beer can labels to a brewery willing to feature our dogs. He loved the idea,” Ryan told Food & Wine. “I asked Fargo Brewing if they would be willing to do this for us, and they loved it too. They have gone above and beyond with donating profits and having an event where the public can come and meet our Oneder dogs, as they don't get to attend events with the other dogs. The response from the community has already been amazing and heartwarming.”

The cans were made available at an event featuring some of the dogs on the labels and will be sold at the brewery until supply runs out.
