Skin Care Brand Noble Panacea Offers Refills and A Packaging Recycling Program

Supermodels and chemists run in social circles without much overlap, but when Nobel laureate Sir Fraser Stoddart launched his new skincare line powered by some of the breakthrough technology he helped develop, he invited those giants from the fashion and beauty industries as well as lifestyle entrepreneurs to a black-tie gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Stoddart’s new line of beauty products, Noble Panacea, is innovative and bold enough to merit such a posh, glitzy debut.

At the core of the product is a unique chemical technology called Organic Molecular Vessels (OMV); they protect ingredients at the molecular level, acting as a shield casing. OMV preserves freshness and potency, and in the case of volatile elements such as retinol and vitamin C, it keeps it away from light, air, and moisture, which can degrade these delicate compounds.

Part of Noble Panacea’s core is sustainability, and the new beauty line has partnered with TerraCycle to recycle some of their packaging. The outer packaging, a sleek, minimal white octagonal 2-piece box, is made of biodegradable starch and is plastic-free; inside is an aluminum insert that holds the 30-day supply of pods for their individually-dosed creams which, tentatively, you will be able to purchase for a refill starting in 2020. TerraCycle will give you a free, postage-paid bag so you can mail the empty pods to them when you're all through.

TerraCycle is the same recycling company that also created Loop, the ambitious delivery program that includes refillable product packaging for major consumer brands, so you know those pods are in good hands.

The Absolute and The Brilliant are now available for pre-order with their official launch in mid-November.
