Kellogg's Partners With GLAAD and Releases "All Together" Cereal For Spirit Day

Spirit Day is an annual anti-bullying LGBTQ awareness day held every third Thursday in October. LGBTQ youth are especially affected by peer bullying, and in some unfortunate cases that bullying leads to suicide. First observed in 2010, GLAAD, organizers, and activists promote the yearly event, and they encourage people to stand in solidarity with LGBTQ youth and against bullying.

As part of their support of Spirit Day, breakfast cereal maker Kellogg’s has released a very limited edition cereal, the “All Together” box, which combines six mini boxes of their popular varieties in a single carton, forming a veritable Voltron of solidarity. The outer box “goes purple,” the color used to promote Spirit Day and features the representative mascots surrounding a large bowl of all their cereals mixed together. Likewise, the word “Together” uses a different color for each letter, in a clean, minimal typeface.

In addition to the special cereal box release, Kellogg’s is donating $50,000 to GLAAD in support of youth anti-bullying advocacy.

“At Kellogg's, we are firmly committed to equity and inclusion in the workplace, marketplace, and in the communities where we work and live," Priscilla Koranteng, Vice President, Global Talent and Chief Diversity Officer at Kellogg said via press release. "We have long been allies and supporters of LGBTQ employees, their families, and the community. For more than 100 years, Kellogg's has nourished families so they can flourish and thrive, and the company continues to welcome everyone to the table."

The six kinds of cereal include Corn Flakes, Frosted Flakes, Raisin Bran, Frosted Mini-Wheats, Rice Krispies, and Froot Loops and are available for purchase on Kellogg’s website.
