Walk us through the design process, how did you go from start to finish on this project?

Classmate Studio: In the beginning, we had the idea of using painted and drawn foams, doodles and strokes and experimented quite a lot with their style, size and density. We tired out figurative, abstract and basic designs using only crayon, pencil or paint.

Together, with the client, we decided to go big with simple forms and splatters made with a variety of crayons and paints, resembling the boldness and simplicity of children's drawing.

What was one of the biggest goals you set out to achieve with the packaging and how did you accomplish it?

Classmate Studio: To create a down to earth, playful but exclusive feel to the brand, which also has an exceptional quality. We also wanted to show the market that children's products don't necessarily have to have a childish look to be attractive for young parents and their relatives.

What’s the inspiration behind the splatters and brush strokes?

Classmate Studio: We were inspired by children's doodles and drawings, imitating the way how they play around with paint.

Classmate Studio: The handmade visual elements express the brand's high quality and artisanal attitude, such as the clear layout, the minimalistic typography and the foil finish. In addition, the all-lowercase logotype combined with the stork emblem adds a friendly and human touch.
