REN Clean Skincare is a company dedicated to using only natural bio-actives that help the skin, and saying no to harsh chemicals and to waste.

They’ve also pledged to produce zero waste by 2021.

According to Create & Cultivate, “As part of its new mission to be Clean to skin and Clean to the planet, REN Clean Skincare has pledged to produce zero waste by 2021. Later this summer, REN Clean Skincare will be relaunching its award-winning Atlantic Kelp and Magnesium Anti-Fatigue Body Wash into a 100% recyclable bottle, with 20% plastic reclaimed from the ocean and 80% plastic recycled from empty plastic bottles.”

REN also wants to move towards a “waste-free future,” and are looking to introduce refillable options to their line of products.

“Since Ren Clean Skincare launched in East London in 2000, we have embraced our role as beauty industry activists and have never stopped looking for ways to improve the efficacy of our clean skin-care products and to reduce the environmental impact of our brand,” Arnaud Meysselle, CEO of Ren Clean Skincare, said in a press release. “Our passion for the health of the planet and our fearless approach to innovation empowered us to take the next important step for our company — extending our Clean to Skin mission to include Clean to Planet.”

Recently, REN teamed up with Create & Cultivate, a conference and online platform for women chasing the career of their dreams, and the Surfrider Foundation for World Oceans Month where they hit the beach to clean up plastic waste.

This partnership is not the first time REN has taken action, in fact, it’s part of the brand. The first partnership with Surfrider began for Earth Day 2018 this past April, where REN’s retail partners will partake in more than 300 Surfrider Foundation beach cleanups throughout the U.S. and United Kingdom.

So, be a little more like REN. Do yourself and the planet a favor by keeping the oceans and coastlines cleaner than when you arrived.

Not that we’re your Mother, but if you see some trash, pick it up.
