Influx Creative created this striking illustrated and textured packaging for LOBO Apple Brandy, a special spirit that comes from the Adelaide Hills in Australia.
“A small batch, handcrafted, Australian Apple Brandy in the traditions of French Calvados. Double distilled from LOBO Adelaide Hills apple cider. Sophisticated, balanced, harmonious, a complex spirit.
LOBO Apple Brandy is itself is the essence of their apples. Something which LOBO have lovingly grow in their orchards for 5 generations with dedication and passion.”
“The LOBO brand is based around a ‘Wolf’ (LOBO means Wolf in Spanish and Portuguese and is also the name of a variety of apple). Each LOBO product has its own unique ‘illustrated’ personality. This product is the pinnacle of their craft. The label evokes emotion, a ‘mother nature’ figure, guiding LOBO (two wolves) on their quest of growing and crafting perfection, a search for the ‘golden fruit’.
The connection lies with prose by WB Yeats;
Though I am old with wandering, Through hollow lands and hilly lands, I will find out where she has gone, And kiss her lips and take her hands;And walk among long dappled grass, And pluck till time and times are doneThe silver apples of the moon, The golden apples of the sun. YB Yeats, 1899.
Used as inspiration, together with artist and illustrator Mar Hernández we created this package design to evoke LOBO’s search for perfection.”
