by Natalie Mouradian on 11/19/2018 | 3 Minute Read
Australian agency Squad Ink designed this artistic packaging for Summer Gin Project, a limited edition release of Australia's Archie Rose Gin.Summer Gin Project is a two-part gin series showcasing the character of Australia’s most iconic season and distinctive natural environments: Bush and Coast. Each gin features distillates made from sustainably sourced plants, fruits and herbs, that have been wild foraged in Sydney by renown local forager, Diego Bonetto.
The watercolour illustration style provided us with a natural yet vibrant aesthetic that perfectly captures the raw beauty of the Australian bush and coast. Additionally we opted for a real timber label stock to offer a strong connection to the land whilst elevating the premium cues of this limited release spirit.
Bush – Summer Gin
The Australian bush provides an essential livelihood for those who call it home through its untamed beauty, red earth and radiating heat. Capturing the distinctive aromas of the bush, it comes to life through native waxflower, pink peppercorn, wild farmer’s friend and native thyme featuring herbal and eucalyptus notes that pay tribute to a season that is quintessentially Australian.
Coast - Summer Gin
Inspired by the Australian Summer, Coast is one half of a single-batch gin project that captures the sense and character of our most iconic and celebrated season. The salty sea air, crashing waves and sprawling beaches all play a part in our love affair with the Australian coast in summer, offering a feeling of renewal. Featuring vibrant fruit and salty notes that pay tribute to a season that is quintessentially Australian.
