The Motel designed this exquisitely stunning conceptual packaging for Witchcraft Gin. The bottle features beautiful typography and illustration work that make us wish this spirit was real.
“I’ve always been fascinated with the occult and the supernatural. I believe in nature and the outdoors as a spiritual experience. Here in Africa, witchcraft and witch doctors are a part of everyday culture. Traditional healers known as ‘Sangomas’ in Zulu, can communicate with the ancestors and protect people from evil spirits while ‘Inyanga’ use traditional medicines called Muti made from plants and animals to cure problems. Ancient religions believed that whatever energy a person puts out into the world, be it positive or negative, will be returned to that person. This was the inspiration behind Witchcraft Gin.”
