“This project was created as a response to a live brief. UK Design for the Revitalization of Ibaraki which is a design competition event organized by Joyo Bank Ltd., and Mito City in Ibaraki Prefecture, supported by the British Council in Japan.”
“Makinohara is one of the most highly regarded green teas in Japan, and is particularly noted for its superior quality and its smooth taste. This packaging redesign shows a traditional drink in a more sophisticate light. The shape of the logo inspired by Mt. Fuji hints at the culture, while the graphic pattern used throughout the design was based on aerial views of the tea fields themselves.”
