The Dieline Awards 2017: Mathias Dahlgren Edition

Grand Hôtel, retailer Dafra and chef Mathias Dahlgren wanted to develop a modern set of kitchen appliances.

We are of course huge fans of Mathias and had the ambition to translate his culinary vision of simplification, taste and natural ingredients into a minimalistic yet playful visual expression. By highlighting the measurements as graphic ingredients we created a functional packaging concept that pushed creativity but could stand the test of time.

We partnered with Grand Hôtel Stockholm, Dafra and Mathias Dahlgren to create the brand Mathias Dahlgren Edition. We created the packaging concept, collateral and handled the production.

The best tools to use in the kitchen are the sleek, clean, and simple ones that make the cooking and baking process simple. The packaging for this edition of pots and pans avoids bright colors or excess graphics, in turn exuding a strength and confidence that all chefs desire in the kitchen. By keeping things uncomplicated and easy to comprehend, it actually makes the entire cooking and prep process easier.
