When it comes to this rum, there is definitely more than meets the eye. Stranger & Stranger designed this gorgeous bottle, but don't let it fool you, Boukman Botanical Rhum is a spirit that has a rebellious historical past.

The story goes that in 1791, Dutty Boukman swore an oath to liberty, sealed it with rum and sparked the revolution that freed Haiti from French control. This rum takes its name after Boukman and its design elements further reinforce the historical context from which it was inspired. The bottle is decorated with traditional typography and a quote in the middle of the label that reads "Listen to the voice of freedom rising in our hearts."

Keeping the courageous and rebellious spirit of Dutty Boukman alive today, Boukman Wild Spice Rhum aims to help Haiti ‘get up, stand up’ and reinvests in programs to help the sugar cane communities live with dignity and fairness. From its inception, Boukman Botanical Rhum has been working in close partnership with Haiti Futur, a registered non-profit with branches in Haiti, the USA and France.  A proportion of Boukman profits go directly to Haiti Futur, which is transforming education in Haiti with its digital classroom program.
