“The world is changing, but quality ice cream will always be timeless.” Cocoon redesigned the entire line of Hollandia products, including their delightfully sweet popsicles, reminding us that though times may change, ice cream endures.

“The ice cream’s new look embraces a connection between the past and the present, in merging the modernized naming (‘zmrzka,’ a casual Czech word for ‘ice cream’) and classical period costumes of the flirting couple pictured. As a playful take on modern romance, the man courting a young lady replaces a bouquet of flowers with an over-sized lolly.”

While the illustration style is more traditional, the images of the cocoa pods and white chocolate are refreshing and jump right off of the packaging. The drawing of the man courting the woman with a large popsicle is humorous and adds some quirky personality to the brand. Along with the classic image style, a modern font further emphasizes the mixture of past and present.

“This new release marks the 25th anniversary of Hollandia as previously featured on The Dieline, and follows Cocoon’s massive redesign of the brand’s corporate identity and entire portfolio, including five yogurt ranges released earlier this summer. Cooperation between the two companies began when Cocoon won the tender to rebrand the Hollandia portfolio at the start of 2016."
