The Cannes Lions is an international advertising festival for those in creative communication, advertising, and similar fields. Phoenix, the Creative Studio has created the Cannes Lions Survival Kit, developing the branding, strategy, packaging, and illustrations for the packs that were delivered to important players in the field. With a bit of nautical inspiration and items that are equally fun and useful, the kit was created to expand horizons and make vital industry contacts.
“Cannes Lions has always been a popular event, but in recent years it’s been more popular than ever. This means that it’s difficult to stand out there. There’s a lot of noise and options for attendees to choose from, and we wanted to cut through the clutter and reach decision makers at brands and agencies. 1,000 kits were delivered by hand to senior marketers at brands, agencies, and publishers. We were able to achieve 150 meetings on the GumGum boat, many of which were impromptu meetings with prospects and clients who were drawn to the boat by the kits. We expanded GumGum’s brand awareness to a number of executives who previously hadn’t heard of the company.”
