Customers at Hair Salon 548 in Brasília, Brazil loved the special in-house pomade so much, that the hair salon decided to start selling it as a commercial product. Mauro Martins developed the packaging and logo for the item, called Clandestina Hair Pomades, that is sold exclusively at their salon and soon in retail stores.

The top of the pomade jars are covered in psychedelic, colorful illustrations that express a quirkiness and fun which the salon embraces. The “E” in Clandestina is written backwards, which further emphasizes the modern, youthful values of Hair Salon 548 and the hairstyles they do. On the outer edge of the jars we see illustrations done only in black and white, almost like tattoos, giving it a bit of edginess. The products feel hip and make good-looking hair easy.
