With Aquarius Vive, enjoy the fizz of a soft drink and the low calories of a sports or health drink. Pemberton & Whitefoord LLP developed the branding and packaging for Coca-Cola’s product, Aquarius Vive, part of sub-brand (Aquarius) that is already Coca-Cola’s 5th best-selling brand.

“London based design agency, Pemberton & Whitefoord LLP has been working with The Coca-Cola Company Iberia on its newly launched brand, Aquarius Vive. The refreshing low-calorie soft drink comes with new benefits in two flavour varieties; Lemon & Lime and Tropical and have just launched as a 330ml can and 1.5l bottle. Aquarius Vive joins the rest of the Aquarius family, Aquarius, and Aquarius Zero.”

“It is a source of Zinc and Vitamin B3 and contains extract of the ‘superfruit’ Baobab. Baobab, also called ‘the tree of life’ or ‘the bottle tree’ in Africa, lives for 4,000 years and stores thousands of litres of water.”

P&W has been working very closely with Danae Blanco, Senior Brand Manager of Aquarius on Aquarius Vive’s packaging designs, Aquarius promotional multipacks, POS materials and the brand’s extensive corporate guideline document. Commenting on the product, Blanco says; “Aquarius was born very linked to the world of sports drinks. But in a natural way, the consumer has pulled out of this territory and has gravitated to all other consumption occasions becoming a healthy refreshment drink for any moment. With Aquarius Vive, we want to encourage this natural movement of the consumer.”

Aquarius Vive is more than just a soft drink. This is a beverage that contains important minerals and vitamins and is low in calories, making it a better choice than a lot of the typical sugary drinks out there. The packaging clearly advertises the refreshing nature of Aquarius Vive, using a seafoam green and slick font. The light colors imply that the flavor is subtle and that the number one focus of the brand is on providing hydration for consumers rather than sugary sweet flavoring.

P&W Partner, Adrian Whitefoord remarks, “P&W started this exciting journey with The Coca-Cola Company Iberia in November 2015, so it is very rewarding to see the fantastic product finally launched! We have worked very hard on every element of this brand, from artworking the Baobab leaf background to the design of numerous packaging concepts to photographic management for advertising. The refreshing, vibrant colours of the packaging complement the revitalising liquid perfectly.”
