Home sweet home. Nesting Box is an adorable DIY kit to build your very own birdhouse or bird feeder, bringing personality to your yard and nature to your door. Belova Ksenia developed the packaging for the kits, encouraging people of all ages to use their hands to make something unique.

“Home for birds and bird feeders, Master Carlo is a Russian legend. They are the only ones who make a home for birds with the advice of ornithologists and under the guidance of Russian Bird Conservation Union. Master Carlo, they are from the small village of Bogoroditskoe located in the Ryazan region (280 km from Moscow). One of the main purposes of creating the original gifts is that they may be interesting to everyone.”

The idea of do-it-yourself frightens a lot of people, and Nesting Box does an excellent job of making it seem accessible and easy to people both young and old and of any skill level. It relies heavily on images to communicate, utilizing drawings of men, women, and children and adorable tweeting birds to get consumers excited about their new project. The entire process is intended to be fun, and the packaging reflects this, with primarily images making it almost seem like a comic book. Instructions inside follow suit, allowing pictures to tell the story and letting buyers take these to create their own enjoyable experience.
