Feather and Bone

Quality ingredients make such a difference when cooking from scratch. Feather and Bone is a high end food retail shop, selling delicious and fresh meats, deli and dairy products, and produce. Flotation Device designed the packaging for Feather and Bone, creating a look for the brand that advocates for a wholesome approach to life and food.
Feather and Bone promotes the idea of knowing where your food is coming from. Instead of walking down grocery aisles, staring at boxes with an endless ingredients list (half of which you can’t pronounce), theirs is a refreshing approach to flavorful simplicity. The Feather and Bone logo is a silhouette of a cow with lines separating the different cuts of meat. For the meat packaging, a drawn image of an animal appears on the front, reminding buyers that the fish, chicken, cow, and pig from which the selections come were real, and that the process in which it’s attained involves fewer steps than less fresh or more mass-produced options.
Using a mix of images and fonts in a busy yet organized fashion, other packaging and promotional materials help to demonstrate the wide scope of Feather and Bone. It’s not just freshly sourced meats, it’s an entire deli offering a variety of quality products on a premium scale. Their packaging sets them in a niche of fresh foods but allow that to include a range of products beyond beef and pork, including cheeses and other dairy items.
