“The idea for an African-inspired gin evolved while reminiscing about the so-called ‘sundowner’ drinks after a day out in the South African bush. These sunset cocktails are a big tradition in South Africa – and more often than not, they consist of a G&T. The idea was backed by a mutual love of exotic African botanicals and a realisation that these would make interesting additions to a premium gin, alongside more traditional botanicals such as juniper and orange peel.”
“Elephant Gin is distilled using 14 botanicals, including rare African ingredients that haven’t been used in gin-making before. The botanicals are hand-selected to limit any impurities and ensure only the highest quality ingredients are used. The gin’s nose yields a subtle juniper aroma with an undertone of mountain pine and other herbaceous notes.
