No more throwing out old food that’s started to mold in the fridge; instead, have fresh ingredients delivered right to your door. Melia Tandiono developed the concept for Prepair, a food ingredient delivery service that prevents you from overbuying items that you don’t really need, all while helping you make delicious meals.

“Prepair offers to deliver local and homegrown ingredients to your doorstep, already pre-measured for your ease. The service promises convenience without compromising on sustainability, quality and taste. Prepair is all about sustainability, both in food and in life. Therefore the packaging is designed to prevent further synthetic waste. The insulated, reusable bag keeps the ingredients fresh for up to 10 hours, and will be washed and reused once it is returned by the customers.”

Unlike meal delivery services, Prepair is perfect for consumers who struggle with grocery shopping (either they don’t have the time for it or buy things they end up tossing later) but who still want to make their own breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Their emphasis is on freshness, so vibrant colors and ingredients instantly catch the buyer’s attention. It also makes the entire act of cooking a meal lively and exciting, getting the recipient ready to make their own food. The app is easy to navigate and takes an uncluttered, simple approach. The reusable bags almost feel like lunchboxes you might have carried to school when you were a child, and the built-in compartments keeps things fresh and separated so it’s a no-brainer to manage in the kitchen.
