Student: A Life's Work, Adrian Frutiger

To mark the life of iconic type designer Adrian Frutiger, Edward Gray, a student from Belfast Ireland has created a series Swiss chocolate bars reflecting the precision and accuracy in Frutiger's work. 

"Each hand crafted bar is made with precision and accuracy reflecting the detail and craft put into Frutiger's typefaces." 

If you've gone through some sort of Graphic Design or Typography class, it is very likely that there was that ONE project you had to create a design based on a particular typeface or show case a catalog of work from a type designer.  We've seen them all, in poster form, books or even playing cards, but we've yet to see one show cased in packaging form, until now. Edward Gray from Ireland created a beautifully designed, simple, yet bold and effective. Is 'Avenir' a handcrafted, Swiss chocolate, and Infused with mint? Yeah, We can see it and almost taste it.
