Before & After: MARTY RAY Cocktails

Simplifying the brand identities and packaging of well-established brands is usually a very successful way to strip back the unnecessary and really focus on the core elements of the brand. Asgard Branding achieved that in the restyling process of Marty Ray low-alcohol cocktails for the Alcon Group. The Marty Ray brand was launched in 2003 and is one of Russia’s leaders in the market of low-alcohol products.
The initial packaging design was revamped in 2007 but it was now outdated and needed refreshing. Talking of the re-design process, Asgard Branding says “The project goal was to bring the packaging up to date, while preserving a few recognizable graphic elements. It was also decided to revamp the brand identity, which remained unchanged since the product’s release.”Asgard’s designers simplified the presentation of information and cleaned up the background, removing the decorative details and making the Marty Ray packaging bright and easy to read. As a result, the re-design is now more contemporary, stylistically pure and attractive.
