Mint, coconut, sea salt, and more. PICO’s line of divine chocolate has equally delightful packaging. Using its heritage as inspiration, Australian agency Swear Words designed the packaging for this high-quality chocolate.

“A premium chocolate range launching in an already visually busy environment, Pico required impactful, contemporary branding and packaging whilst giving a nod to its Swiss chocolate-making heritage. Our solution is inspired by Swiss poster art and its bold geometric forms reinterpreted as flavour and texture cues in the context of an abstract mountain range designed to lend strong shelf impact.”

Each package has a range of mountains on the front, composed of a variety of hues that indicate the flavor. Coconut, for example, has dark brown and white, while salted butter caramel has rich yellows and tans. A simple and modern font gives it a contemporary look that will help it compete in a popular market. PICO is clearly unique, but while the flavors may be exotic and mouthwatering, the beauty of the packaging is subtle. As intended, these look like posters a board of tourism might release for the Swiss Alps, and this helps the consumer to better understand the product and feel more connected to it. PICO appears unique, but its beauty is subtle.
