Homer is best known as the author of the Iliad and Odyssey. He was believed by the ancient Greeks to have been the first and greatest of the epic poets. This heritage has been the inspiration behind the branding of Hommer, a line of men’s grooming products coming all the way from the lands of mythology: Greece. Office Communication Consultants have worked on the development of the packaging design in the aim of graphically representing the brand mission -bottling the expertise and know-how of the Greeks in beard grooming and share this knowledge around the world.

Great focus on the packaging has been given to the name, a mix between Homer and “homme”, the French for man. Commenting on the label’s design, the team at Office Communication Consultants says, “We used a masterfully executed illustration which references to ancient greek vessels and old-school navy tattoos. The main character on the illustration, Triton, has a beard and holds a trident, which symbolizes virility and power. Alongside a clean-cut and timeless logo design, the double M of the brand retains the symmetry and crowns the composition of the design, acting as a signifier of its high quality.”The packaging successfully conveys the brand qualities: cleanliness, balance and sophistication.
