Panino Organic Rice

Panino Organic Rice gifts a coastal view of Indonesia's rice patties and beachside. The pouch, created by Sciencewerk, features a perspective drawing, overlaid with a scalloped rectangular accent of color, themed according to the type of rice. The slitted sides allow the compressed rice to peek through, giving consumers a peek of what they are purchasing. 

"Panino works together with local farmers to produce high quality organic rice, cultivated from one of the best agricultural lands in Indonesia, Banyuwangi. It uses seeds of local varieties that are developed and planted using System of Rice Intensification (SRI) method and Jajar Legawa to yield rice with better nutrient content."

"We created a series of simple, cost-effective packaging illustrating the city of Banyuwangi, the place where the rice is cultivated. The colour code is used to simplify the type of rice identification."
