Complicated Wine is owned by two long-time friends who grew up in the Napa Valley. They wanted to create a brand they could be proud of that would resonate with their own generation of millennial wine drinkers.
The clients asked for a package redesign that over-delivers on price-point and reflects their personalities and style: modern, sophisticated and fun. After numerous conversations and competitive research, the best design direction was a strong image-based execution. The labels' bright, foil-stamped illustration visually interprets the word "Complicated", giving the final product intrigue, shelf-presence and a modern elegance.
