Although summer seems a bit far away on this side of the globe, the packaging of the Solar D range immediately takes us to the beach. Solar D sunscreen technology is designed to let in more of the UVB rays that our body uses to naturally produce vitamin D whilst also screening out the harmful UV rays.
Such a technologically advanced product required an innovative design without being too scientific or complicated. Leading the brand strategy, naming and design process - Aussie agency Loop Brands delivers the job with a clean and impactful design. The white background is animated with the use of bright fonts and a great logo which combines the two key messages of the brand - the letter D and the sunshine.
“After developing the identity for the Solar D brand the brief was simple – throw a brick into the category and shatter preconceptions about sunscreen.”
“The packaging is both enormously bold and perfectly calibrated. The iconicity of the brand mark on the solid background gives enormous shelf stand out in pharmacy and grocery alike.”
