The Dieline Awards Winners Exhibition, Los Angeles
by Andrew Gibbs on 09/30/2013 | 5 Minute Read
Two weeks ago, we opened our doors at Hub LA otherwise known as The Dieline headquarters - for a one night pop-up exhibition of The Dieline Awards 2013. The exhibition featured nearly all of the 42 winning projects from this year's competition, displayed throughout our workspace for LA readers to peruse. The collection represents the work of students and agencies from around the world, ranging from projects like Lufthansa's in-flight meal box to Bzzz's wooden beehive. Although samples weren't allowed to be touched, we did have at least one project which encouraged the opposite - the 'lette á la ronde gift box which featured a color spectrum of macaroons guests selectively chose, I suspect, by color and not flavor. Off limits or not, the samples had everyone buzzing as they photographed and discussed them throughout the night.
While the pop-up was meant to showcase the winners, it was also our first time hosting our readers in our space! We wanted to ensure that our guests were happy all night, so we reached our to our friends at Stacked Wine and Boxed Water who generously set us up. Our awesome fellow Hub LA members, The Yellow Loft and Verynice also opened up their design studios for the evening, encouraging guests to visit and view their work. Throw in a killer playlist and the event was perfect.
However, none of this would have happened without the great turnout we had from our readers, so a major Thank You from us at The Dieline for supporting us through all of these years. We look forward to our next event, but for now enjoy this photo diary of the evening.
