Con-fetti made a bright, play full, light-hearted but meaningful design for the important social hygiene project for The Dutch Simavi Foundation; Mama Sopa. 'Mama Sopa' symbolizes motherly support for those in need. Not a Big Brother is watching you... but a big and hearty mother is 'washing you with love'. For every Mama Sopa product sold, Simavi provides a hygienic training to a vurnerable mother in East India.

The products come in shiny orange, bubble blue and spicy ginger. They will be available in the Netherlands an throughout Europe from may 2013, and sold in shops and specialized boutiques.

Designed by Con-fetti is a collaboration project of design studio Ina-matt and illustrative designer Marjolijn Stappers.

Simavi is a Dutch public health organisation that believes everyone has a right to good health. This is why Simavi works on people’s health in the poorest regions of developing countries. Specifically focussed on the health of mothers, as they are the key to their family’s health. Together with them Simavi provides for safe drinking water, sufficient hygiene, healthy pregnancies and improved children’s health. And helps mothers with the knowledge they need to prevent diseases. Together with local organizations Simavi offers direct and practical support. This works - and has done so for 85 years.
